Sharp Shooter

We are doing well in the shooting - Charles had got into the Adult Final - check out those score sheets !

Mocktails and Science

Lovely day today. We were going to air the tents but having walked into one and seen the contents of everyone's rucksack everywhere I decided not to inflict that on our Guiding neighbours. So after various activities this AM including Caving, Climbing, Swimming and Shooting we hit the bar. Mocktails all round and science exhibition.

Zombies have arrived

Some people took a little too much sun cream today with the baking hot sun ( for about an hour at least).

Evidence

We can wash up ....

Breakfast

Light breakfast this morning - pancakes, fruit, cream and syrup. Sun came in, out, in and out - neon disco tonight - hopefully some banging tunes and time to party. Happy Camping

We won !

Parents Day - lots turned and fresh kit exchanged. Girls team collected they medal after winning the sub camp Netball ! Camp is much quieter now all the parents have gone and it's back to cricket and chilling

Les Mis meets Gangs of New York

With stylish moustaches and waist coats we looked more like a Les Mis production than Oliver but we currently looked the coolest. Still raining a bit and everyone's a damp but we just get on with it. Excellent tea - burgers and hot dogs with Fake Black Forest Gateaux.

Discipline

Punishment is harsh at Peak - no courts, it just off with your head !

Sands of Time

Well we won the Sub Camp Netball and Wheel Chair Basket Ball - Camp final later in the week. Not really sure what's going on here but apparently it was fun

We are doing well

Girls in Semi's finals ..no pressure ....GO 7th

News Flash - Scout Leader Gets 5 Mins Leader Gets 5 Mins Peace

Well it is 6 AM ....

Anyone for Cricket

But of a wet day and evening. But doesn't stop a bit of cricket. Tonight's tea was Spag Bol ( very nice ) and Ginger Sponge and Custard. Tea was wrapped up with an After Eight. Mr Grills ( never can spell his name) appeared briefly but disappeared when the rain arrived.
Congratulations to Matt and Vicki re Chief Scout Gold Award ...again

Washing Up

After breakfast, there is the wonderful job of washing up. Check out the enthusiasm of this lot - Dickens Patrol today for all those lovely chores ..

Opening Festival

It was a long opening ceremony but we had to get 9000 people in the arena. We had everyone themed song - some more dramatic than others

First tea successful

First tea a success - Sweet and Sour and Chocolate Cake. Soon off to the opening ceremony and Peak has officially started.
We have made friends with the Norwegian Scouts next door and Scottish Girl Guides behind us. Hopefully we might get some sleep !

Fun in the sun

Just about settled in - thanks for everyone who helped this morning. A bit of down time and then party ...!

Well it's up

The marquee is up - well it went up and down a few times after several disagreements were poles and stitching should be. Good news is we are not a massive walk from the toilets and away from the massive sound system we heard from the stage. Thanks to everyone who helped tonight.
