Well it is 6 AM ....

Anyone for Cricket

But of a wet day and evening. But doesn't stop a bit of cricket. Tonight's tea was Spag Bol ( very nice ) and Ginger Sponge and Custard. Tea was wrapped up with an After Eight. Mr Grills ( never can spell his name) appeared briefly but disappeared when the rain arrived.
Congratulations to Matt and Vicki re Chief Scout Gold Award ...again

Washing Up

After breakfast, there is the wonderful job of washing up. Check out the enthusiasm of this lot - Dickens Patrol today for all those lovely chores ..

Opening Festival

It was a long opening ceremony but we had to get 9000 people in the arena. We had everyone themed song - some more dramatic than others

First tea successful

First tea a success - Sweet and Sour and Chocolate Cake. Soon off to the opening ceremony and Peak has officially started.
We have made friends with the Norwegian Scouts next door and Scottish Girl Guides behind us. Hopefully we might get some sleep !

Fun in the sun

Just about settled in - thanks for everyone who helped this morning. A bit of down time and then party ...!

Well it's up

The marquee is up - well it went up and down a few times after several disagreements were poles and stitching should be. Good news is we are not a massive walk from the toilets and away from the massive sound system we heard from the stage. Thanks to everyone who helped tonight.
